Jerry Frankson, CEO
Jerry brings more than 20 years of experience in business and technology services to PHD Communications. Starting his career as a contractor for Texas Instruments as an Automation Control Technician allowed for hands on work with timelines and process following projects delivered ahead of schedule. Working with programmers, managers and understanding clients, communicating is a necessity to be successful. Migrating from technician to manager, to business visionary with a focus on business culture he has stayed grounded by working with many individuals he regards to as team members. As a Chairman and business leader himself, Jerry understands that transparency, accountability, and responsive actions keep ideas, and customer visions moving forward. Surrounding himself with like-minded individuals driving towards a common goal allows for an environment to breed efficiencies and smooth operations.
When not working to make sure clients needs align with their business goals, Jerry enjoys coaching his children’s sports teams, spending time with friends and family. He also enjoys traveling, golf and continuing education. Improving the community by volunteering for numerous children’s organizations across North and Central Texas is a great passion for Jerry.
Doug Garrett, Partner/Director of Operations
Doug founded VIP Surveillance in 2004 after three years at a local security firm drawing on extensive electronics experience from the US Air Force and semiconductor industry. As his security business grew, Doug formed a business relationship with PHD in 2010, eventually dissolving VIP Surveillance in 2016 for an ownership stake in PHD Communications. With more than 17 years in electronic security and surveillance, Doug brings engineering and experience to the PHD Team.
An avid outdoorsman, Eagle Scout, and USAF John L. Levitow leadership award recipient, much of Doug’s spare time is spent outdoors. Doug enjoys hunting, fishing, and family time with his best friend Darla who he married in 1991. He also has special interest in youth sports and various fundraising activities benefiting child advocacy organizations. Doug, Darla, and Cocker Spaniel, Lewis, along with three daughters and one granddaughter, reside in the DFW area. His goal for PHD clients is to provide honest, transparent communications and the standard for business partnerships.
LC Marlin
LC help found PHD Communications after 7 years of telecom experience ranging from low voltage cabling to small and medium size PBX programming and installation across Texas and abroad. Doing installs and PBX installations across the state of Texas for Senate offices, LC was responsible for ease and simplicity of getting the offices up and functioning properly. Now with over 19 years’ experience in telecom, data infrastructure, and technology. LC brings knowledge, engineering and experience to the PHD Team.
Leader in his family and among friends, always willing to lend a helping hand. LC enjoys the outdoors and being with nature, he also enjoys hunting, fishing, Mountain Biking, Sports of all kinds, motorcycling and basically will try anything that is outdoors. LC has one son Devon and is a single father and resides in the DFW area. His main goal is to provide honest and pleasurable experience when dealing with communications and client relations, across the PHD Team.
